About Our Association

Our Journey Towards Economic Empowerment

Qatari Women Association for Economic Awareness & Investment (QWAEAI) was established in 2018 as a pioneering initiative aimed at empowering Qatari women and enhancing their role in the economic sector.

The association was founded under the visionary leadership of Eman Ghafan Saeed Al Basti, a distinguished Qatari businesswoman who recognized the significant and influential role Qatari women can play in the country’s economic development.

2024 Plan

With official accreditation from the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor, and Social Affairs, QWAEAI became the first officially recognized association in Qatar dedicated to promoting economic awareness and investment among Qatari women, operating in compliance with relevant local laws. Through the election of its Board of Directors, the association outlined its core objectives and strategic directions, focusing on implementing programs and activities that cater to the needs of Qatari women in society.

Since its establishment, the association has been working seriously to achieve its vision of enhancing the capabilities and skills of Qatari women and empowering them in the fields of business and investment. The association is considered a pioneer in empowering the culture of Qatari women in the field of economics and creating opportunities for Qatari women to achieve exceptional successes in the field of business and promote sustainable economic development in the country.
